The Lake: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) John Anderson Wall Street Journal In addition to the deft comic performances by Mr. Gavaris, Ms. Shamoun and Ms. Stiles, The Lake has a better-than-predictable galaxy of orbiting satellite characters. Jun 17, 2022 Full Review The Lake: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Manuel Betancourt AV Club At points, a subplot involving a threesome can feel novel and fresh, and at others it can comes off like a discarded, raunchy B-storyline from a sitcom. Rated: C+ Jun 16, 2022 Full Review The Lake: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) M.N. Miller Ready Steady Cut The Lake is an uneven sitcom experience with a solid comic turn by Jordan Gavaris. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 2, 2023 Full Review The Lake: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Bill Brioux Brioux.tv Gavaris, in fact, shines in this series. His character gets more interesting every episode and so does that of his very winning co-star, Shamoun. Jul 1, 2022 Full Review The Lake: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Alex Hudson Exclaim! A tedious barrage of threesomes, fish with herpes, and references to past hookups. Rated: 5/10 Jun 27, 2022 Full Review The Lake: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Monique Jones Common Sense Media The series makes for funny, gentle viewing, especially if you love family-centric situational comedy. The Lake is perfect for the sun-drenched days of summer, and it also mixes in poignant moments about family togetherness. Rated: 3/5 Jun 24, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Roberto R Honestly was expecting much worse, but this is a good heartwarming tv show, with good music and a nice scenery Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/13/24 Full Review Kelly M Really enjoyed this show. Bummed there won’t be a season 3. If you liked Schitt’s Creek you’ll probably have a good time with these wacky cottagers. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Hunt C Well... I gave it a chance, but I wanted someone to root for, and the only likeable character was the crazy Swedish lady... Billy is selfish, Justin is a stereotype of gay, Mazie is a nightmare and a terrible person, the horny couple are 5 seconds from divorce, Opal is a brat, the love interest is so void of personality I forgot his name... I have watched 8 episodes because I like to see a series to the end before making judgments, but this series makes me dislike people who own boathouses... Are they this bored with life that they all regressed into nightmares...Sorry for the passion, my friends said I had to watch this and once I did I felt like I needed a break from people, would not recommend it unless you want to hate people... Then watch away! Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/09/23 Full Review Christina L I think this show needs more credit! The humor is great, and it's not super cheesy like most sitcoms are. It feels relatable. Mix between schitts creek, Gilmore girls, & never have I ever, when it comes to feels, pace, and humor. Just my opinion! I hope more people watch this! I need more seasons. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/23 Full Review Rich M Season 1 was funny and enjoyable. I wanted so badly to really like season 2, but they ruined it. I'm straight and not homophobic. I go to gay bars and have no problem with it, but damn, they jumped right into gay blow jobs in the water in the first 30 seconds of the opening. Totally overplayed the gay. Made it unwatchable. I hate it when a good show can't just be a good show without going full woke. I'd say the same if it was a girl giving a guy a bj. The sex in this opener was just simply not necessary. They ruined it. The rest of the episodes and season could be the greatest ever, but I'll never see it. Done with this one. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review Justin C This show pulls at the heart strings with multi-layered characters, light-hearted comedy and country/lake house nostalgia.
